Christmas Day 2004

This clock was purchased by John Oswin, Val's great great great Grandfather, on the occasion of his marriage on Christmas Day 1811. In 2004 Phil Hamilton, who had restored the clock, was able to return it to John Oswin's family with the assistance of the inscription on the inside of the clock door and the help of the Leicestershire and Rutland Family History Society. The last two pictures show John Oswin's great great grand-son (Les), great great great grand-daughter (Val) and great great great great grand-son (Alistair) raising a glass on what would have been his 193rd wedding anniversary.
